Mer-Mar Electronics specializes in low volume PCB assembly with customized features. We provide complete turnkey low volume PCB assembly wherein we take care of the entire PCB assembly – fabrication, component mounting, assembly, testing, and delivery. With our skilled engineers and dedicated workforce, we are well-equipped for small batch PCB assembly that can be delivered in the shortest lead time.
As a leading small batch PCB manufacturer, we are equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities and capabilities to handle the customer’s quality expectations and get the project done in a quick turnaround time. By deploying the techniques like Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT) in the process, we make sure to identify any problems and optimize before going to final production.
We are also an ISO 9001:2015 certified company since 1999 with IPC trained personnel and Triple Processes Inspection adhering to the highest quality standards for small batch PCB assembly requirements. Our meticulous QA team also relies on other testing and inspection services like optical inspection, X-ray testing, etc. All the small batch PCB assembly are manufactured with specialized support, reliability testing, and authorized workmanship.
High Precision – Known for creating high-precision low volume circuit board assemblies in a neat and orderly manner with properly maintained and latest equipment. We have a highly experienced team who stringently pays attention to attain the level of accuracy and precision required.
Top-notch Quality – For us, quality is never an accident. We put in all the assembly lines in such a way that our component procurement and small PCB assemblies are in line with your company’s goals and requirements.
High-Yield Rate – We ensure a high yield rate while preventing any common PCB assembly faults and identifying the potential problems beforehand. Through DFM checks, we cut the manufacturing costs and eliminate any unforeseen expenses.
Unmatched Reliability – By deploying the right technique, we improve your circuit board’s ability to withstand any mechanical or environmental stress like high temperatures. Your low volume PCBs would have high heat tolerance to be used in aerospace and defense.
Streamlined Processes – We follow well-documented process controls in accordance with ISO regulations for risk management, traceability, and quality controls. We also govern the quality of the manufacturing operations through cleanliness standards and improving the shelf life.
Low Volume PCB Assembly
The quality of solder joints rests with Mer-Mar Electronics. We are committed to quality and the process we follow is a reflection of that. We employ different testing methods like AOI, X-ray Inspection for solder joint quality, and a lot of other types of tests employed during the board’s assembly. We can also go for manual visual inspection to help you quickly assess the success of your low volume PCB assembly. We provide low volume PCB assembly in a cost-effective manner and quick turnaround time.

For the small volume PCB assembly process, we use three different technologies –
- Through-hole Mounting
- Surface Mount Technology
- Mixed Technology
Through-hole Mounting – While we opt for this method for low volume PCB assembly, our designers place the requisite components in the holes drilled on the board. Although an old-school technology, we make the best use of this technique. Especially for industrial applications in aerospace, we make use of this technique to make your circuit boards withstand high levels of stress and operate at high speeds and temperatures. We make sure the bond between the circuit and its components is stronger and hence you can have a reliable product that provides a high level of efficiency for your operations.
Surface Mount Technology – Our purpose to go for the SMT technique is to improve the quality as well as performance. As we mount the components onto the surface of PCBs, we offer tremendous flexibility, and more importantly, even the complex circuits can be done into small assemblies. Even the smallest of the components can be mounted by using contact terminals instead of leads. Also, we meticulously build dual-sided circuit boards with all the components on one side and complex circuitry on the other side. Through the automation process, we build highly customizable circuit boards for almost any application.
Mixed Technology – We use the properties of SMT and through-hole whenever necessary. We are a reliable small batch PCB manufacturer and well-equipped with the capabilities of both SMT and THT for manufacturing circuit boards. We can provide quick prototypes and even go for high-speed production. We have advanced and precise equipment to place the component of miniature size with great accuracy. You can have custom assemblies that are built by following the best practices in the industry.
We have been pushing our limits when it comes to quality assurance. Irrespective of the batch size, we make sure that every circuit board that gets shipped from our company adheres to the same quality levels and intact functionality. We follow rigorous quality controls as we put in our efforts to deliver top-notch quality boards. We put in extra efforts to make sure that your low volume PCB assemblies do not have any errors and work with high precision.
We perform DFM and DFA checks for issue detection and anything that negatively impacts the low volume PCB fabrication process. We do conduct functional testing and see that the assembled boards are in line with your requirements. We employ advanced testing tools and equipment to ensure that components are perfect and see if any component needs repairs or replaced.
